Interview on Babes & Gents

border

I’ve been interviewed on Babes & Gents! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, but I love interviews. I never turn them down as they’re a great way to hold a mirror up to yourself so you can see where you’re at in your life at this very moment (and I have to say, I’m really happy with where I am in life right now!).

Maroubra > Bondi Coastal Walk

rockwalking
Was a really nice morning, so Cacia and I decided to get up and do the coastal walk.

swamp
By the time we got to Coogee, the wind had really picked up.

pool
We had a dip in the rock pool at Coogee. Lovely little spot (next door to me but I’ve never swam in it before).

juice
I’m always hungry after getting out of the water (it’s like being reborn, or something?!), so, some fish and chips (and fresh juice) at Chish N Fips (I like their tartare sauce!).

spotted
Spotted: So right in white. Hard to not feel jealous!

regal
Also spotted this super clean Valiant.

wind
Cacia being pushed by the wind, which had gotten pretty crazy by the time we got to Waverly.

ocks
Love those huge rocks! Amaze!

rain
Then the skies opened up on us, hard! The rain felt like sharp pins on our skin.

wine
Wet, and not at all miserable, we made it to Bronte beach and decided to call it quits with a great bottle of red from Bordeux!

Cacia Zoo for babylikestopony

I’ve just finished uploading sets from all the photos I took with Cacia Zoo for babylikestopony. I’ve split the outfits up into different sets for now (video by Scott Mitchell Media to come and we’ll feature it all on Zen Garage later).

It’s been awesome fun hanging out with Cacia the past few weeks (she’s been staying at mine nearly the whole time). We’ve shot a lot, had such awesome bottomless conversations and demolished a whole box of red wine since. She’s such a free spirit and reminds me so much of College of Fine Arts days, how I miss hanging out with arty farts!
It’ll be sad to say goodbye to my new friend (she leaves this weekend).

Check out all the pics we took together here (NSFW Nudity Warning!): http://www.justinfoxphoto.com/stories

Photoshoot with Marketa (aka Little Caprice)

justinfox_marketa_littlecaprice_couch

It’s not every day you get to shoot a porn star.

Yesterday I couldn’t refuse the opportunity to shoot Marketa from X-Art, also know as “Little Caprice”, who’s come all the way from the Czech Republic to Sydney for a holiday.

It’s perhaps a little embarrassing (or is it?!) to say that I’ve been a fan of hers for years, so having her in front of my lens was pretty damn surreal!

I’m still not sure which of the shots we took will make it in to the final set, but here are some more covered up teasers for now (got some really fun ones of her and Cacia Zoo in the bed too!). More to come soon!

Black Betty Coffee Fix

Cacia Zoo at Black Betty.

blackbetty_kingsford_colddrip
Cold Drip goodness, on ice. Smooth as!

blackbetty_kingsford_croffin
Cacia tears into a croffin!

blackbetty_kingsford_siphon
Aromatic siphon coffee.

Always awesome dropping in to Black Betty Espresso Co. in Kingsford for a coffee hit. Cacia and I shared a croffin, a nutella filled pastry that’s not a croissant, nor a muffin, but something in between. We also savoured some refreshing cold drip, and some fruity siphon coffee too.

Chinese Noodle & Dumplings

fungus
Black Fungus salad was an awesome way to get the taste buds going.

curry
Cacia went for the curry noodles.

fujian
Jess had the Fujian noodle soup, subtle broth was delish.

beefnoodlesoup
I went for the beef noodle soup, noodles were a bit thick, but the broth was awesome (and reminded me a lot of a Vietnamese Pho).

dumplings
Xiao Long Bao is always a good test for any restaurant and I’m happy to say these guys pass!

There’s always a new restaurant popping up on Anzac Parade in Kingsford. I can’t keep up with them all! One I’ve been meaning to try since my flatmate mentioned it a couple of months ago is this new Chinese noodle restaurant which serves up some really traditional dishes (lots of intestines and offal on the menu!).

Food was good! Will definitely be back for another try.

Apologies in advance, we didn’t catch the name of the restaurant except for the huge NOODLES sign outside. It’s got a facade which makes it look like an old world Chinese restaurant, wooden bamboo like window decorations etc. It’s directly across the road from Manpuku. I’ll be sure to get a name for it when I go past next time.

Time to hit thew road. Spotted! A Turbo Beetle! I love these!

3sisters1
We got up late, and only hit the road at 2pm, we finally got the the mountains close to 5PM which made it too late for us to catch the scenic railway, it turns out the three sisters trail was shut for maintenance in any case so we did another walk from the three sisters to scenic world instead.

bluemountains1
Them blue mountains.

jess_walk
Jess.

jess_cacia
Jess, Cacia and big views.

jess_cacia_view
Big smiles too!

cacia_walk
Cacia.

hanging
Just hanging out.

yellowdelicafe
The Yellow Deli – Jess spotted this comfy looking cafe from the outside, and it was amazing on the inside!

yellowdelicafe_food
Now this is what you call hearty comfort food. Something the hipster cafe’s in Sydney will never get right. Food that feels like it’s made with love and that it’s making you healthier with every spoon full, add to that a bill that surprises you to the point of leaving a generous tip.
