Sonny & Mina

Beautiful Mina walking down the isle.

The deed is done!

Best food I’ve ever had at a wedding, hands down. Cooked to perfection, insanely mind blowing!

The photobooth was an AWESOME idea!

Christina and I stayed in the Gibraltar Hotel Bowral – so nice, so clean, very modern, perfect!

Had the privilege of being invited to Sonny and Mina’s wedding in Bowral this weekend. Christina and I drove up on the Saturday morning and decided to stay the night knowing how much of a party animal Son can be!

The wedding was lovely, casual… loose even! The MC was a nutter, the speeches were so heart felt I almost cried and the party had nearly everyone intoxicated!

Matthew Mead was the photographer too, looking forward to his pics!

Mr. Layugan (pronounced like the Street Fighter character Ryu’s famous ‘Hadouken!’).

Epic catchups with my brother from another mother (BFAM!) Christian Layugan the other night. He’s been living it up pimp stylez in Miami for a few years now, but he’s one of those mates where the last time we hooked up just feels like yesterday.

Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane

My good mate Ben treated me to a free ticket to Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane (ex-Faith No More/Mr Bungle) at the State Theatre last night. I had no idea what to expect as I hadn’t done any research at all but man I was blown away. We’re talking full orchestra, composer and Patton singing (sometimes smooth, sometimes wild, damn he’s good) every song in Italian. What a freak, mind blown. READ THIS.

Illest San Francisco in the house

Annie from Brisbane, Jan from San Fran, Alex also from Brisbane and Mike from PlusSixOne

Zen Garage Crew.

I was late, but luckily I wasn’t too late into work today otherwise I would have missed Jan, who runs the Illest store in San Francisco. He brought in a load of soon to be rare Illest stickers too, awesome guy. We treated him to an Oportos Bondi Burger (it’s Oporto Monday’s @ Zen Garage, perfect hangover cure), which he loved so much he was lost for words haha.

Seli & Nanami FIGHT!

Wasted!

The ladies playing with STD’s.

Getting my jam on.

Nanami‘s B’day last night. As expected, she’s got a lot of really wonderful creative friends. Food, booze and classic tunes from the 80’s made for a fun big night in!

Monkey on the brain

Why do I always have to see the potential in something? This little slideshow video presents some pretty radical Monkey transformations. Inspiring in an expensive, wallet out, cash in the gutter kindof way!

Strip the Monkey

The more I look the more I notice missing parts. It’s so far from operational right now. I’ve spent hours on Monkey Forums, and found exploded diagrams which show just how many small specialised nuts and bolts I’m missing. I’m still sticking with the plan of getting it rego, so instead of making it a lovely perfect restoration, using OEM Honda bolts, spacers, etc etc I think I’ll just scrounge around for random bolts and just get this all operational first, then modify to perfection AFTER I get rego.

Honda Monkey

It fit in Aarons boot!!!

Quick release foldable bars for easy transportation/storage.

So cute!

In a desperate attempt to stop myself from modifying my Honda Type-R I’ve bought this little bugger to play with. It’s an Australian Delivered 1974 Honda Z50J1 (Monkey). As far as I know it’s got a 50cc 4-stroke and a 3 gear transmission.

She’s in need of LOTS of love. The frame has been powdercoated black, which is a great start. With the bike I got a box of bits including a wiring loom, rear brake light, rear parcel shelf, fenders and a few more bits and pieces. The Monkey is road registerable so I’ll be restoring her first, then modifying her later!

Build thread on Zen Garage. More updates as they come! :)
