This super clean 2 door STi was a personal import from the UK.

S2K, same colour as my old one.

Before.

After.

R34 GT-R. I still would really love one, especially one this clean.

I had a new ding on the drivers side door.

Got my bonnet done too.
Was a hot day in the garage, but once again, the Dent Hero blew our minds and managed to do some pretty hardcore guard repair this time around (from running wrong fitment as opposed to actually getting dents from everyday car life).
I took the opportunity to get more dings removed from my EVO IX. There were lots of small dents on my bonnet, and one (new) large one on the drivers side door. All repaired to perfection!
We had a pretty cool range of JDM rides pop in throughout the day too, of note a clean R34 GT-R, a nicely modified Mazda 3 and a super clean 2 door STi which was a personal import from the UK. More pictures on our new shop blog.

Zi’s DC2R. K20, TE37′s, Voltex, JDM front, fresh paint, it’s amazing. I’d have given this some awards if I could!

Jing’s DC5R, if you look at the reflection you can see our tent :)

Made me instantly miss my old TME.

And this made me realise I still want to own an E36 one day.

The Trophies.

These guys thought there was going to be an award for best dressed… lol.

JDMyard hosted the Honda Show Off 2012 today to celebrated their 10th anniversary. 10 years! That’s a massive feat. If it wasn’t for such passionate Honda enthusiasts like Zi and Yonas JDMST would never have existed, so I owe a lot to these guys.
The weather was hot, but a gentle breeze kept the punters (who came en mass!) cool enough. The boys had a massive store wide sale going on too, it was manic in the showroom. The Honda Show Off Categories included: Best Of Show, Best Engine Bay, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Oldskool Pre 92, Best Stance, Best Hardparker, Best Engine Swap, Best Effort and Because Race Car and lucky me (or unlucky, depends on how you want to look at it!) got to be a judge on the day.
There were a billion photographers out and about so I’m sure a lot of amazing shots will be uploaded over the next week, for now, enjoy my snappy snaps and feature on Zen Garage: http://zengarage.com.au/2012/12/jdmyard-honda-show-off-2012/

Our tent.

And the crowd went wild.

Kevin’s concours 964.

My fave car of the day. Saw this car on the road a few months ago. It was menacing in my rear view mirror, and when I let the guy overtake me the sound was just blood curdling. So awesome to see it up close. I gawked at it pretty hard, got to meet the owner too. Chilled out dude (funny thing is he remembers my EVO from the time I spotted him on the streets!).

Gorgeous Veloce.

Kevin’s Rocco. Hard not to like wrap when it looks this good.
Last night was Zi’s bucks. I tried my best not to get hammered, but damn I got hammered. Despite having a blast with the boys I had to peel away at 3am because of EUROFEST today. The last thing I wanted was to be hung over, in the sun at a car show… but damn it I did it again.
I was so hung over my head like it was split in half. I woke up in the city, managed to get back to Maroubra to get some shorts and thongs. Was feeling almost too queasy to drive the EVO so I borrowed Mums SLK (better suited the Euro theme!), to top it off it was perhaps the hottest day this year so far!
Amazing cars rocked up though, EUROFEST was such a massive success! I’ve uploaded my pics from the day to the new Zen Garage Blog. Check them out here.

Streetkarnage crew drove all the way from Queensland to Zen Garage on route to tomorrow’s ALL STARS EUROFEST. Massive effort (11hr drive!). All rides bar the Golf are static too. More pics: http://blog.zengarage.com.au

Euro Porn.

Tiny but mighty.

Makes me miss mine.

Lone Porker.

Zomaya! Glad he didn’t park next to my (stock) EVO!

RPRSNT!
I (amazingly) ended up making it to both the VWG DIY day as well as the EUROFEST Pre-Meet @ Garage 88 today. Was great to catch up with a lot of familiar faces, some of which I hadn’t seen in ages. More pics can be found here.

What a venue! Just blows me away. So cool.

Clean MKII GTI. My lonely EVO hiding in the background.

Representing!

Loved the colour matching on this Rocco.

Jose’s crowd pleasing supercharged R32 Golf.

Sweet as candy.

Lora’s MKVI GTI with Porsche brakes.
Pics from today’s VWGolf.net.au DIY Day @ Blum. More pics can be found here.

LM GT4’s and old school RG’s at the Import Monster tent. Lovely.

V8 in this 180sx. Check the pod filter! It’s the biggest I’ve ever seen!

This R35 was a nice streeter.

HRE Wheels looked real nice .

Quick scrutineering…

…and I was free to play.
Rob and I snuck out of the office today to check out the Import Monster Skylines Australia Nationals 2012 at Wakefield Park. The SAU Nats go for 3 days. Track Day Friday, Drags on Saturday and Show n’ Shine Sunday. A massive weekend for the Skyline obsessed.
Rob and I planned to get there at around lunch time. This morning people on facebook were already reporting rainfall at Wakefield. I hadn’t fired up the GT-R in over 5 months, it needed a wash so I gave it one, in the rain!
A block out of Maroubra and I couldn’t see a thing. My windshield had fogged up bad and I don’t have a demister, so I had to drop the windows which got my interior pretty damn wet! I had thoughts of turning around and jumping in the EVO… but I pressed on.
Driving on the highway on Semi slicks is bad enough as it is, add rain and it’s a pretty shit experience. I hooked up with Rob at the Mobil on Pheasants Nest, he then jumped in the GT-R and we were off to Wakies. With the windows cracked open (to stop the windshield from fogging up!) and the road noise from the semis we had to shout to chat (haha). No stereo either, because race car.
Amazingly when we got to Wakefield the sky opened up and the sun came out to play. I got a session in. I was never going to belt out a PB so I didn’t bother with a transponder. I also opted to drop in to group 3 with guys who were doing around 1.15/lap and had a blast. Fresh tarmac meant slippery corner exits on turn 2 and the fish hook especially. Was fun to keep the boot in and have the wheels spinning out of turn 2 though. :)
A great day out despite the conditions. Many rad photographers out there today so be on the lookout for more pictures on the net over the next few weeks.
