Miles. Soooo cute right?!

Excited about the menu!

The Pool Cafe do a wicked Veggie Big Brekkie.
Australia Day is my Mums B’day so Jamie, Richie. Miles and I treated her for brekkie at our local, the Pool Cafe. :)

I’m often craving El Jannah Garlic Sauce, if Granville wasn’t so far away from Maroubra Beach I’d be there every week! Whilst doing the groceries last night I spotted “garlic dip” out of the corner of my eye in Kosher section. I was jumping up and down (inside) with excitement! Once I saw the white whipped texture I knew it was going to be good and yahhh it’s great!

I didn’t have any Chicken though, so I had it with lamb, still great! I washed it down with a couple fo glasses of my fave bottle of red too (after all these years I still can’t go past Wynns). Bliss!

Dragon, always (fucking) loud, always fun :)

Tsing Tao – always great with Chinese food, especially if you love a crispy beer (Asahi-esque).

Cozy corner shop on South Dowling St. Darlinghurst.

The fresh stuff. On show.

What a beast. Under $10 too.

Slow roasted lamb + roasted potatoes, it’s like a roast between bread!
I finally got my ass down to youeni provides in Darlinghurst. Love the cozy interior and despite not being super hungry, nor having much time on my hands I couldn’t go past the lamb sandwich! I had all intentions to only eat one half, and save the other for later, but it was all so moreish that I ended up smashing the lot haha.

My uncle Bernard had his 60th B’day at Peter Gilmore’s Quay Restaurant today. Amazingly he booked out the entire restaurant, carpark too!

What a view.

Mudcrab was great, subtle flavours, moreish!

My cousin Nicholas’ speech was heartfelt. Loved it. My Uncle Bernard’s on the right, having a good laugh.

I went for the beef. Cooked to perfection and again, subtle flavours… all the textures were perfect!

Miles was awesome, all day! No hissy fits until Michael Jackson came out.

All of a sudden the DJ cranked the music up and a Michael Jackson impersonator took to the stage with his minions. Miles screamed, jaws dropped. I didn’t really know whether to laugh or throw up. Was that a he? Or a she?! It wouldn’t get off the stage either, every time he did get off the stage he’d jump back on in another (cheap) outfit and proceed to kill another classic Jackson song. Tragic. SUPER TRIPPY but hey the oldies loved him!

MJ finally got off the stage. Creme Brule.

My Mum’s sister Helen took to the stage to Tango with her guy Michael.

The kids loved it.

Then all the oldies raged on to the “everybody in the house tonight/renovators soundtrack”. They were having so much fun, it was awesome to watch!

We are family.

Miles was a champ today!

Sergio came into Zen the other day with a huge Garlic Chicken feed for us all. Legend! I’ve become such a huge Garlic Chicken fan haha.

Cold Plate.

Hot Plate. 4th Fish & Chips for me this week, out of control…

Ah Sydney.

As the sun went down I grabbed my GF1 only to realise I’d run out of batteries. NOOOO! A DSLR without batteries is like a broken down car. Useless! I took this shot with my iPhone 3GS, so upset I couldn’t use the GF1 though.

Long time JDMST Moderator Mike V. was in town last night and a hook-up to have Pho was in order. Pakula know’s his Pho (and food in general). He suggested Pho Pasteur in Bankstown. I was buggered, it was pissing down rain (traffic) but I’ve never been to Pasteur. I love Pho too and I had to eat in any case right so I made the trek.
Pho was good. Thicker/darker soup was tasty and different to Pho An across the road. I was still thirsty by the time I put my head on the pillow later that night. I wanted MSG. I got it!
