Mappen

Sushi Train next door had a massive queue, as usual. But we were there for Mappen! People will catch on, eventually. It’s the best!

Could be a little intimidating at first, but grab a tray, order your meal and go along, adding whatever friend goodies, or side dishes you like. Grab a drink, pay then add your final condiments to your liking. When finished, kindly return your tray :)

Somebody else likes Mappen??? awesome! Love this place but agree the first time it’s pretty sketchy with all the signs “no holding seats pay for food before sitting only one spoonful of temoura bits per customer”. It’s good to see a quality meal spot open up in the old KFC spot which for years was plagued with dodgy noodle bars and soup joints.

I tend to hit the fired gear a bit more but always make a point to grab the burdock salad at the end. super tasty

Love, love, love the half boiled eggs at this joint (the udon and soba one, anyway)! Yet to try its ramen and rice counterparts.

I always just go apeshit on the tempura bits, anyway!
