I’ve finally caught the flu! It’s been so long, and I’ve been kinda excited about it! I’ve been in bed for 2 days straight (Mia loves it!) and I’ve also not smoked in 2 days either so I figure this is a great opportunity for me to quit smoking. Gotta get some sun though, so heading out for a ride later today.

In other bike news I put my Allez Sprint up for sale for %4,500 and instantly had 2 buyers who were keen on it but I decided I just couldn’t let it go.
I have my SL8 so dialled in that I’m starting to realise it’s the bike in my fleet that I want to ride every single time. IE: If I had to sell all bikes but one it’s the SL8 I’d keep so I sold the Pinarello Dogma F to Jason, a fellow car guy last week and last night I sold my Canyon Grizl to Anita, a rad girl who was previously riding a lower spec Trek. She’s going to absolutely love the bike and I’m going to miss it (the purple paint job specifically!).
I’ve still got 2 BMX bikes in storage that I’ve been meaning to move on, and I’m now thinking of donating my (now vintage) Giant Reign 1 mountain bike to the guy who looks after my apartment building.
Right now I’m down to 8 bikes. 8’s my lucky number (lol) and I never intended to ever have more than 8 bikes at one time so I’m now back on track. Can’t promise that I won’t want to start a new build, but can promise to make it a rule that I’d have to let one go before picking another one up!
Giant Reign 1.
Today I gifted the Nepalese kid who does the bins and cleans the lifts and front foyer in my apartment my old Giant Reign 1.
He sees me nearly every single day with my bike and the other day he told me he’d like to buy a bike and his budget was $500, but he didn’t know what to look for.
I let him know that I’d look on FB Marketplace for him, but as I started looking I figured I’d just surprise him and give him my trusty Giant Reign 1.
He loves it! I’m excited!
