What’s in the bag?

In a comment on my last blog entry Charlie asked for a rundown of all the gear I pack for shoots. I’ve always loved checking out “what’s in the bag?” style features so I thought why the hell not!

This bag is what I carry daily (to work at Zen Garage). I always carry my laptop and 2 cameras (I’ve been on shoots with other shooters who have come across trouble and had to cancel shoots on the spot, lesson learnt, always pack another camera! If I’m shooting off location I’ll always bring along the Bose Speaker. It’s a bluetooth speaker so sometimes I’ll let the model stream her music onto it if I think it’ll make her feel more comfortable. PS: I do always carry the kit lens that came with the GF6 (I used it to take this shot), it’s useful only for when there’s not enough space for me to fit a girl into frame but I rarely use it at all.

Here’s the packing list:
1. Chrome Niko Pack.
2. Bottled Water.
3. Samyang 7.5mm Fisheye Lens.
4. Battery chargers for both the GF1 & GF6.
5. Panasonic Lumix GF6 with Leica DG Summilux 25mm F1.4 and DSPTCH Straps.
6. Panasonic Lumix GF1 with 20mm Pancake Lens and Panasonic Viewfinder.
7. iblazr LED Flash, Memory Card and USB Stick.
8. Joyetech eVic.
9. The Essentials – Keys, wallet, iPhone.
10. Bose SoundLink III Bluetooth Speaker.
11. Zen Sunnies.
12. Macbook Pro.

Great – thanks for that Justin! Love my GF1 with the 20mm pancake too… Interested to know what telephoto/zoom you’d get for longer range shots? about to push the button on a 45-200mm myself. Check this out too – http://shotkit.com/

    Hey Charlie, welcome!

I don’t like the 14-42mm kit lens I got with the GF6. It just produces such flat boring results (but I do like that I can fit more into frame than the 20mm).

PS: My mate runs that site! I forgot all about it!!!!!
