Hung out with Ved last Wednesday who was shooting a video for a client. So awesome to see him work his gear.

He’s also shot footage of my fish tank! Sliders and all! I can’t wait to see the end result!

I’ve been thinking about hanging up the camera. Shooting girls the past couple of years has been super fun; challenging, rewarding, definitely another feather in my cap, but I’m feeling like it’s almost time to move on.

A photographer I know (here’s looking at you Nic Mesker) is also going through similar motions. Nic has let his fans know and they’re replying with suggestions that he’s too good to quit (and that he’s silly and should keep on shooting).

He ‘could’, sure! But ‘should’? I’m not so sure. If you’re not into it anymore, stop and move on, it’s as easy as that! If anything I feel damn sorry for people who do what they do only because others expect them to do it, or they feel like they have to stay in their jobs because of all the time and energy they’ve put in to get to where they’re at today.

Life’s short, drop the expectations and insecurities, looking forward to seeing what Nic does next! (myself too!).

Caught up and shot with Theresa yesterday. It’s been a few years since I last saw her (we featured her and her EVO on Zen 2 years back). She’s never done a shoot like this before, but we killed it! I love how curvy she is.

A few shots from yesterday’s awesome Boho shoot with Sophie. I love making short girls look tall, but Sophie’s actually tall and I found myself wanting a step ladder more than a few times haha!

Really happy to have shot her in what she loves to wear. I’ve shot with her before, but I’m so much happier with these shots and how this shoot came out.

Snapped a few photos at Miles’ 4th Birthday party today! Richie and Jamie went all out with a car theme (rad!), but pretty sure he’s going through more of a Star Wars phase right now (also rad!).

Sometimes, for no good reason at all, shit happens and life gets pretty fucked up.

Yesterday I hung out with Maya, who’s been through the wars lately. She’s such a beautiful soul, and deserves nothing but the best, but heart break and losing her job all at the same time has sent her into a downward spiral.

Nothing quite like a good hike to reset your head. We spent the day in the sun talking about the big stuff. Maya’s bouncing back. Saturn Return. I’m just happy she’s smiling.

Finally got to shoot with Danie Kara yesterday. I’ve bumped into Danie more than a few times in the past few years. She drives a modified EVO, she’s into Kicks, she’s addicted to ink and hangs out with Ian Baker a bit, so a shoot was inevitable?!

The shoot was awesome. I knew she was going to be a mad girl to talk to and shoot with. I’m now in a situation where I’ve got lots of similar images, and I’m having a hard time choosing which ones to edit!

Shot with Marinella yesterday, a girl I’ve been wanting to shoot with for a while now. Super photogenic, and she’s a great graphic designer too! We ended up only taking a couple of shots, and decided to eat at Brooklyn Boy Bagels and talk shit instead!
